Hey guys so I've got that lame black screen thing going on, and none of the standard suggestions work. Resetting it with the button, updating the clockface. It can't even get it to resync with my app because I can't see the numbers. Can't seem to find a way to hard factory restard without being able to see anything, I think if i was able to reinstall the firmware it might help but how?

Hi @Baileyssinger, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that the screen of your Charge 3 went black and it won't turn on. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved.
I'd like you to try a long restart, which has been helpful for this type of issues. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:
Keep me posted on the outcome.

I'm having same issue. Black screen. Vibrates and charges but won't sync with phone. Clock reset didn't work. Short reset didn't work. Long reset didn't work. Can't factory reset with black screen that won't sync. Anything at all I can do?

It sounds like the same issue I'm having, I've posted it as another issue

Hey thanks for responding. I've tried the long reset. I do experience the vibrations, but I can only seem to get 4 short vibrations before it stops, and the screen never resets

Same for me. I got up to 6 vibrations and it stopped before the 7th and never resets. Ugh. I've tried so many times!

Good evening,
I'm experiencing the same issue where the display is a black screen. My app indicates the battery is full, I've changed the clock face over dove times with no change to the black display.
I've also done the aforementioned reboot, I can feel the vibrations but the screen still has no change. My wife also has a Charge 3 that is functioning properly (we bought them at the same time), and we've used her charger as well with no success.

Apologies for the typo, we changed the screen display over five times. Not dove times.

Same problem here. Regular restart, long restart, clock face reset all do nothing -- screen remains black. Is this a firmware issue?
