Hello,

My Fitbit Charge 3 screen has went black. I have tried connecting to charger and holding the side button. The device will vibrate but the screen will not turn on, I have also tried changing my clock face without success.

Please advise if there is any thing else I can try.

Thank you.

Mine went black while I was on the elliptical. It came back up, but it didn't track most of my workout.

good night. yesterday the same t
happened to me. I reset the
computer, the smile appeared
and everything was fine,
but today it happened again. I
vibrates when you push the
button and vibrates when you
load, but it never turns on the
screen. I note that it is under
waranty
and that about 3 months ago i
was replaced due to the white and black lines it had on the entire screen. I have been fitbit since 2004, but I start to be disappointed. Will charge 3 always give you some kind of problem? It is very frustrating and revolting, being an expensive piece that promises quality and customer satisfaction. should i change the model? Thank you for contacting the department that supports this kind of problems.

Hi,

I am facing the same issue. The screen become black and no response. However, other functions work very well in the background. It still can be charged, vibrate, record my steps, HR and sync with my android phone. I have followed all the recommended solution but its not work at all. I am give up!Smiley Frustrated

The next day, I just let it fully charge for awhile and try to long restart one last time (before email them for supportSmiley Frustrated). Lucky me, it WORKS!!! Smiley Surprised I am not sure what is the actual solution for that. But it worth to try.

Now it still works and hope it will not happen again.Smiley Wink

My replacement #1 didn't display either.  Then replacement #2 died in 2 months with no display.

Update from my previous post:

My screen become blank again..and again, for the 3rd timeSmiley Mad. Even with long restart can turn the screen ON but the problem is keep repeating. In my opinion, this is not a permanent solution for this issue and @Fitbit must figure out this issue and start to roll out new firmware update or whatsoever, as soon as possible. Otherwise, you will lose your loyal Fitbit's usersSmiley Indifferent.

At this moment, I will send email to Fitbit for warranty claim for my Charge 3. Lot of hassle getting through thisSmiley Sad

I had the exact same issue, Customer Service sent me a new device, it took 8 days to get it and the new device is a brick, it doesn't even vibrate it just gets hot to the touch when it's on the charger.  Now they're telling me I have to send the replacement device back (that never worked from receipt) and that I will now have to wait 5 days from when they receive it in their warehouse to even start the process of sending me a new device, which will of course take an additional 7-10 business days for shipping. So, assuming they can manage to send me a working device on this second round, I will now be without a working device for 28-31 days.  I paid $160 for a device that worked a grand total of 7-8 months before it turned into a brick that did nothing.  That's a pretty **ahem** expensive paperweight if you ask me.

I combed thru my notes from support since I KNOW this wasn't the first time. Feb 22nd email from support, the usual plug, press & hold. Again. Once more. Again.

Nothing.

Now TRY THIS change the clock face on the Charge 3.

OK.

Me: now the Charge 3 is no longer showing up.

Him: That's strange.

Me: gotta get to work. Let me try to pair again. Nope. Removed my Charge 2 to a drawer in another room.

Me: leaving for work.

Him:: I will be escalating your issue to the higher department. You will get an email. NEVER received.

So, eventually, I got the Charge 3 to pair.

Changed the clock face - it WORKED!

Yea! Good for you.
But.... if you have nothing on the screen to see you can not get it set up to pair as there is no code. The first set up can not be accomplished. This is what happened to me. Twice
