Welcome on board @Amma123, it's great to have a new member around! Thanks for following all the directions provided in the Community Forums. Nice way to go!

I'd suggest to restart Charge 3 using the 15-second method:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

If the above steps don't work and your Charge 3 is still vibrating or syncing (check this on the Fitbit app), I'd recommend changing the clock face to a different one. Steps can be found at How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?

Give this a go and let me know how it goes, I'll be around.

I am having the exact same problem.  I've connected the fitbit to my laptop via the usb cable and pressed the button on the side of the fitbit for 15 seconds...the device vibrates 7 times and a white line builds across the screen...then a smiley face comes on and then the screen goes dark.  I removed the fitbit from the charging cable and tried tapping the screen twice.  Nothing happens.  Please help.  I've tried every single recommendation on this thread.

I am having the same problem on my second Charge 3 device.

Connected the device to the power cable

Pushed button until the 7 step vibration with white bar loading ended

Reconnected device and got the smiley face

Device went back to black

When I push the button, the device vibrates. When I hold the button, after a second another vibration occurs.

Yesterday, the device all of a sudden started to vibrate every other second and stopped only after pushing the button.

Tried resetting it again. No result. Kept it on the charger until today. Pushed the button again today and it kept vibrating for a couple of seconds.

The app doesn't find the device and won't sync. The change of clock face is therefor not possible.

Noticed that the lights on the back are off.

Checked different chargers and connected to adapter and to computer. Double checked with other device to see if it would charge or connect.

The exchange device has arrived. I have updated everything and it seems to work just fine.

FYI: the administrative side of the exchange could be improved slightly. It took a little longer because of a mix-up in the address. But I am happy to have received the replacement.

Fitbit confirmed mine was dead. They were offering a reduced cost for a replacement because mine is 2 years old. Husband argued the problem occured after the update and they replaced it no charge. Mine was perfectly fine until that update. I am currently setting the new one up and really hope this update its doing wont cause a problem.
