Charge 3 screen went blank

Got this yesterday and the screen is already black and won’t turn on. Very very disappointed, looks like it’s a common issue. I’d rethink getting this, a shame it’s so common for the anticipation of this...

I’ve been doing everything it says to reset Fitbit 3 and still has blank screen and won’t turn on! It’s frozen very frustrating! Please help

Tried to change clock face didn’t let

me cause it says I have to turn. I’ve tried everything including tnat

Hello,
In response to your frustration with the Fitbit 3 Charge, I tried hooking my watch to the watch charger and my laptop.  I held the sides of the watch for 10 seconds twice and then the watch lit up because the battery was dead.  I was given this information by one of the other watch owners who experienced the same. I hope this helps and make sure your watch charger is either plugged into an outlet or your computer.

Call customer support. They should be able to help you. One person even
said that they replaced the Charge 3.

I am having this issue as well and have tried the reset option detailed in this discussion at least 6 times but no success.  I tried to open a live chat but advised all lines were busy. However, am in UK so not easy for me to phone customer support. I would welcome assistance to solve this matter please.  Many thanks.

I continue struggling with the Charge 3, screen going black.

 

Problems started almost immediately after purchase (not a good sign).  Rebooting did not work, but changing clock faces on the app did.

 

Until it didn't... now even that does not work.  Have tried rebooting, changing to all the clocks.

 

Battery is full and app is working fine.  Just the face is permanently black.

 

Given all the problems, I do not recommend anyone purchasing this product.  Unreliable and incredibly frustrating...

Sorry! I have no other advice to offer than to call customer support. When
I did, they walked me through the reset steps.

They sent me a new one after I tried all the suggestions with no luck. It was still under the 1 year warranty.

Don’t get too excited yet my replacement Fitbit has not yet arrived. I was hoping it would be here before memorial weekend – I have a lot of exercise planned.

 

UPDATE:

Replacement Charge 3 arrived today. Will let all know how it goes over the next several months. Hope the Fitbit quality issues have been addressed.

@annahasaproblem, if your Charge 3 isn't turning on, I recommend verifying that you have already tried the instructions provided in this post.

 

Those are great news @Kyac@drdl@bugsy3333 and @Lacortez. I am glad to hear that you will be receiving replacements or that your issue has been resolved. At the moment of receiving the new units, you can follow the instructions provided in the help article: How do I set up my Fitbit device? to set them up.

 

@fabledfunster and @ExecutiveGuy, upon checking with our support team, I was told that you have already contacted them. I know they will be glad to help you out and provide you a solution, just keep an eye on your inbox for further assistance.

 

@Pamline, if your Charge 3 isn't syncing, I recommend taking a look at the help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and follow the instructions provided there. Yes, changing the watch face worked for that issue. Now it won't sync, failed to calculate sleep.

Thanks that worked for me.. was confused when it was working and it just went black.. thought it may needed charging, plugged in it buzzed but no screen. Searched and found this post, tried it and YAY!!!!! It’s working again... thank you thank you thank you!
