My Fitbit also had the lines on the screen for a week or so and now it is completely blank. It’s very interesting because it seems like this is supposed to happen after the warranty is up and we then get a „discount“ on buying a new Fitbit. Definitely not buying another watch from them because they all break and customer service seems to think that’s okay.

Hi there, @Nicky8vicky. Welcome to the Community Forums. We‘re taking into consideration your comments and sentiments with regards to our products and services.
Thanks for your question about why we offered a discount towards a new Fitbit product instead of a replacement of your existing Fitbit product. Our limited warranty provides repair or replacement of products that have a defect while still in the warranty period. Your device is out of the warranty period, and therefore is not eligible for repair or replacement, but we want to offer you a discount to thank you for your loyalty to Fitbit.
For more information about our warranty, see fitbit.com/legal/returns-and-warranty or please feel free to contact our team back so they can clarify any doubt.
Thanks for your understanding. Have a nice day.

I think they may have had a major glitch on Charge 3s this AM. You and I are apparently not the only ones who experienced this. Thankfully, I saw a post that gave a good solution that I had forgotten about. I'd used it before and it worked and lo and behold, this morning too! Here it is copied from another response to a complaint similar to ours:
"First of all make sure you are putting it in the charger correctly. You need to fully open the "clips" as wide as you can (it will still fit in if you don't open them wide enough but won't make the necessary connection).
Next, hold down the left "button" for around 8 seconds and, if all goes to plan, you should see a smiley face on the screen to tell you it's restarting. You can then release the "button". *fingers crossed this works for you*"
It definitely worked for me - tho not in time to get my active hours logged for my great streak this week 😞
