Charge 3 showing “Active Call"

I have a Charge 3. Up until about two weeks ago call notifications consisted of the Fitbit vibrating and showing who was calling. Now all of a sudden when I answer the call my Fitbit vibrates again a second time and says “Active Call.” For some reason this really annoys me, I don’t need to be notified of an active call, I know I’m on the phone obviously.

There is not an option to stop this, just turn off call notifications all together. I don’t want to do this as I still want to be noticed of an incoming call and who’s calling. Is this happening to anyone else? And does anyone know how to turn off JUST the “Active Call” notification without turning off all “Call” notifications?

The only solution I found for this problem was to turn notifications off.

This is happening on my Charge 4. It buzzes every few minutes when I’m on an active call. It’s very annoying

This is also constantly happening with my Charge 4, it would be great to get an update on this situation.

This is happening on my Versa since I got a new iPhone--suddenly there's an alert that I have an "Active call"-- super annoying. Please help!!!

It’s been almost a full year since this post. I’m having the same problem and I also find it REALLY annoying to get that outbound call notice. Tell me you’ve managed to fix this, I cannot think of a single realistic scenario where someone needs a notification for an outbound call.

anyone have a solution?

I’m ditching my FitBit and cancelling my subscription if this isn’t fixed soon. Called customer support and after I told them I wanted inbound notices but wanted to lose the outbound notices, they’re answer was just turn off inbound notices. It was like they didn’t hear a word I said...

Two years later this is still a problem. I don't need my fitbit to tell me I'm in a phone call, I already know that.

Yep. And be sure not to hit “clear” on that alert so you can view the CLOCK. How is this issue still not resolved by @Fitbit

2 years later and I do not see any solution. I am needing help with this too as it is soooo annoying that when I start a call, my watch alerts me that I am on an active call. I do not need that alert and would like to turn that off WITHOUT HAVING TO TURN OFF all call notifications.

Hello @AlejandraFitbit:

I see that this thread is back in 2019, and I understand that Fitbit is aware of the issue and working to resolve it. It's October 2021, so almost 2 years later, and I am having this same issue. Was this ever resolved? Or, what do I do? I cannot find another thread/answer about this issue. I'm getting "Active Call" alerts 10+ times while I'm on a 20 minute call. It's extremely annoying.

Thank you,

Heather

For the record, I quit wearing mine almost exclusively because of this issue. I’ve also been warning people from buying Fitbit products because of the lack of attention given to this issue. Several posts saying you’re aware of the situation and working on it, but 2 years later and nothing. Shows how committed Fitbit is to addressing issues with their products.

It’s too bad y’all chose to ignore this. I had several friends buy other products at my urging. This is costing you sales.

This is sad. I bought my Fitbit on October 30th and today is Nov 1st and I’m having the same issue.

come on Fitbit.

Was this resolved? It’s happening to my charge 4 and it’s driving me nuts. It’s so bad it makes me want to not use a Fitbit anymore

Best Answer

No. @Fitbit just ignores it  -_-

I am going to do the same. I cannot believe it’s been YEARS. I messaged help about it today and they just said they’re aware of the issue. As an engineer myself, I cannot believe that they do not know how to fix this.

After being online with Fitbit help, this is an issue that’s been going on for years with no resolution. I love my Fitbit and the Fitbit platform but I cannot handle the vibrations. I use my phone for calling as its primary use and to have a device that’s not compatible with calling and receiving normal notifications is unacceptable. I waited over a year to see if it would be fixed prior to my decision to leave the Fitbit platform. Very disappointed.

No resolution from Fitbit at all

Hello. I hit the upper left symbol on the main screen of the Fitbit app on my phone. Then, under Settings at the bottom, I went to Notifications. Next, I turned off “Messages” under Push notifications and Email notifications. That seems to have done the job.
