Charge 3 showing "Tracker Not Found" error message

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello, my Charge 3 been working fine 4 days, but all of a sudden it was unable to sync and showed an error as Tracker Not Found. I had to do a "New Device / Replace Your Tracker" to get it back to work again. Why will this happen?

Thanks,

I haven't been able to sync my charge 3 for 4 days. I tried rebooting it a few times and I and removed the app and reinstalled it. It's still not syncing. How do I fix this without losing my data? I only have the firbit 2 mths.

Still nothing. This is day 2. Managed to finally get it to repair and sync last night after an hour of playing around with it but lost a whole days worth of stats cause it wouldnt sync.

Uninstalled, reinstalled, unpaired, repaired, rebooted, holding side button for 8 secs while on charge only loads to half way then shuts off.

Getting frustrated. Can you help?

I feel your frustration. I struggled with mine for weeks. I took 2 back
and finally with the third one I found that I basically needed to have
nothing else paired with my bluetooth. Prior to owning the charge 3 I had
a flex and it was blocking my new connection with the Charge 3. Do you by
any chance have an older fitbit that might be trying to connect to
bluetooth as well as your charge 3? I finally got mine to stay connected
after I deleted my flex from the account. I am discouraged that Fitbit
still hasn't responded to these issues.
Hope you figure it out!

Nope this is my first fit bit. It's been working perfectly fine since March
this year when I bought it up till 2 days ago when it would fail syncing.
Got it fixed by deleting a days worth of data which sucks, went to look at
it last night like normal and issue returned 😞 I dont know what else to
do.

Did you find out the reason why it won't sync and why it says tracker not found?

I have exactly the same issue and also tried everything you already tried.

I'm very frustrated. A few days ago everything was still fine and all of a sudden that started.

Mine synced on and off but will not stay connected. 😠

No I didnt find a reason. I finally gave up trying to fix it and called the
1800 number and because I only bought mine in Feb this year they ended up
sending me a new middle peice.

I have had same issue in morning. I put on charger and do a reboot ( press side button while on charger and get 🙂 smile face.) I have pixel 3. I have noticed this issue since the updated the app.

I did that too. At the beginning it helped but it got worse to not syncing
at all anymore.
I will call the support line on Monday.

as working fine too until the new app came along.  Since then firmware updates have just totally screwed me.  Despite doing full resets and re-pairing of the device, It just will not sync.  This device and the software (probably the software) is just not fit for purpose.

I had to add as a trusted device and have to reboot phone each morning. I
have been in touch with the tech team. They seem to think it's fine since I
am connected once a day once I reboot phone.

Same issue,  same activities, pairs and the device not found error comes around again.  This is even a replacement device for another that just stopped working, I am considering giving up on Fitbit all together

Hi,

My charge 3 synced 19 November and was working. Yesterday after a yoga session, I synced as always but the app said device not found. I attempted a few times, same error. I did a reboot on the device, restarted my phone, turned Bluetooth off and on again. Still nothing. I also tried a hard reset.

I followed the advice and unpaired from my Bluetooth. Now there's no device on my account. I started the setup process and the app found my device but couldn't connect. I tried multiple times but not working. My device was 86% charged and I then decided to call it a night and go to bed. The device was still on.

This morning when I woke up, my charge 3 was off, didn't respond to touch and doesn't come on when I plug it in to the charger and doesn't respond to hard reboot attempts.

Please advise. This is my 3rd charge 3 in 11 months. I'm not sure what the issue is, if it's the charge 3 specifically or just my poor luck.

I have been round and round with my charge 3, as it can no longer connect with my app, does not keep time, etc. I have given up and will be purchasing a Samsung and advising people I know not to purchase a fitbit  There has been no attempt on their part to resolve this ongoing issue.

Contact company. They were able to see activity on my Fitbit. I think
things went wonky after Android 10 update. Hard reboot on watch is
difficult. The side button (indentation) is difficult to time how long to
hold to get it to reboot. I had to uninstall from my phone and reinstall,
then reboot, AFTER the Android 10 update. Maybe me works fine now.

I think it is the charge3 unfortunately. It is a terrible shame that Fitbit
hasn't gotten their act together considering the millions of complaints.
Mine has stayed connected now for close to a year but it was a nightmare at
first. I keep mine on fulltime bluetooth and I never disconnect because I
found that that was when I had problems. I took 2 Versa's back because they
wouln't connect and finally ended up with the charge 3. When this one quits
I will not be buying another Fitbit! Good luck, I hope you get it working.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I have contacted fitbit. Will have to wait and see what the next steps are although I suspect it'll need replacing.

Very disappointing I must say.

I have had same issue recently after no issues since I purchased charge 3. Have followed all directions in forums and from support staff, still nothing and still will not stay synced and device cannot be found. Super angry as support gave me a case number and then said I would not get a response but rather should borrow a similar device from friends or family until a software update fix arrives magically from the app updates. Not happy. I was told a “highly unlikely issue” due to my device not responding to fix. However seeing numerous posts online with same struggle. Any advice how to fix? Thanks

I ended up getting a second replacement device. I've had 3 charge 3s in
less than 1 year (original and then replacement twice). My warranty ends at
the end of the month and I'm concerned what's going to happen when this
issue comes up in the next 2-3 months (based on pattern of when it's
happened for me)

Original device worked for 5 months then syncing issue as described,
replacement 1 lasted 4 months and it happened again. I've had replacement 2
since December so I'm thinking by april something will end up
happening again.

Wow that’s a bit expensive and a bit much. Kudos to you for persistence. I don’t think I will buy another based on response from Apple which makes me sad. Have always been a loyal Apple product purchaser.
