Charge 3 shows 001 on the screen

I've tried all of the troubleshooting solutions I can find on here and still can't get it to work... the battery on my charge 3 died and I tried to get it started again yesterday with no luck.

Made sure everything was clean, plugged it in and the screen stayed black with no response other than a continuous vibration when I press the button. If I leave it charging for an hour, eventually it comes up with an 001 screen. I have tried to reboot the device by holding down the button while it's charging, removing it from the charger and then reconnecting, but it doesn't give me a smiley face and the screen remains blank until eventually the 001 code pops up again (after a further few minutes of charging).

On the app, it also said that my device had no battery and wasn't synced. I tried to change the clock face at one point and tried to unpair and reconnect, but that didn't work. Now I'm stuck and have no idea how to fix it.. can anyone help? 😓

Hello @Jbah. Welcome to the community forums.

Thank you for the detailed information and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried prior to posting. I'm very sorry for this experience, and for this inconvenience I would suggest trying to perform a long restart to your Charge 3. A long restart is different than the basic restart. For this, please follow the steps below:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

After the long restart, please try to charge your Charge 3.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately that didn't work either.

When I press the button for the 15 seconds, i get a continuous vibration for around 6 seconds then it stops. Nothing else happens and the screen remains blank 😞
