The last couple of weeks my fitbit 3 has showed 156+ for the heartbeat while I'm at rest, then drops back to the low 70s after a minute or two.  When I take my pulse manually at the same time, it is no where near this high.  Any ideas?  This is a new fitbit...only a couple months old.

Let me help you with your Charge 3 showing a higher than normal heart rate. I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.
