Charge 3 shows white lines on screen

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My charge 3 has developed a series of vertical lines down the screen. They move to different places when I switch screens. I've tried resetting it and changing the clock but nothing seems to work. Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi @Emmamamo, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'd like to follow up and help you with your Charge 3 since it developed vertical lines on the screen. By the way, thank you for trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

I'd like you to try one more workaround which has been helpful for this type of issues. Please try a long restart. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again and see if the lines disappear from the screen

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Hi @JuanJoFitbit,

Thanks for the advice. I've tried it several times and unfortunately there's been no change, just lots of lines still. What can I do now please? Thanks!

Hi @Emmamamo, thank you for getting back and trying the recommended troubleshooting steps. Since the issue persists, let me go ahead and forward your case to our Support team so they can investigate further and provide a solution. You will receive an email from them soon.

@Roosvdh, thank you for joining us in this thread and our Fitbit Community. Regarding the white lines that your Charge 3 is also displaying, thank you for trying the long restart process shared above.

Please restart your Charge 3 as described in this help article. After this, try changing the clock face to one developed by Fitbit, not a third party clock face and see if the lines disappear.

Let me know how it goes.

Having the exact same issue. Occurred right after I took mine off the charger. Seems to be a screen hardware issue as it's persistent no matter what face is showing. Not sure what else to try or if it's salvageable.

I'm having a similar issue, but attempts to do the long restart fail. The progress bar only goes about 20% across, and the screen switches to a smiley face with a single vibration. What can I do from there?

I’m having a similar issue and battery life has deteriorated. Won’t stay charged. I have tried all suggestions listed. Need help or a replacement Fitbit.
