Charge 3 sleep score disappeared

My sleep score disappeared overnite. I've tried everything I know to get it back to no avail. It has disappeared before but I've been able to restore it.

My Fitbit has not recorded anything but sleep hours for the last two nights. Why would it just stop?

Hello @MoeNH@NiksterG, welcome to the community forums! Thank you for the troubleshooting steps you've tried @MoeNH

To further assist, can you confirm if you refer to the Sleep Score on the Fitbit App or sleep data on the Charge 3? In the meantime, please note that in order for you to receive a Sleep Score, you must receive Sleep Stages. Take into consideration that are some factors that could prevent the Sleep Stages to be received, so please consider the following:

  1. If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  2. If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
  3. If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  4. If your device’s battery is critically low.

For more information, you can see: What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages?

Note that it may take a few minutes for your sleep score to appear. On a side note, I've moved your post to a new thread to keep the forums organized.

I look forward to your response.

My App is also freezing when I open the sleep data. I have to close the app and reopen but still no score data and it freezes every time.

Hi @Mamascott is this app on your Charge 4, or on your unknown phone?

I suppose I'm referring to the sleep data on the Fitbit app. I don't see
any sleep information on the Charge 3 itself (and never have). I
appreciate the tips to make sure my Charge 3 is positioned correctly, but I
have gotten sleep information consistently since getting my Charge 3 about
a year ago. So I doubt that's the problem because I haven't changed my
usage or the placement.

I will check out the links you shared, but at first glance they don't look
like they will address my issue. I will also look up how to do a reset (or
a reboot...not sure there's a difference there).

Hi @NiksterG are you seeing any recorded sleep in the Fitbit app. Maybe only simple sleep without sleep stages? Your first post says that you agree, but I'm not sure with what post your agreeing with. Only sleep hours recorded, or no sleep score.

I also have no idea what is meant by only sleep hours where recorded.

Thanks.

Hi all!

Someone recommended I disconnect from Bluetooth and reinstall the app. You’ll have to reconnect to Bluetooth and re login to the app. It worked! Sleep scores are there and it’s stopped freezing up!! Thank you!! I can’t find the thread from the guy you sent it to me but thank you!! 🤗

Yes that is an option.

However the user will not be able to reconnect to Bluetooth. This connection is maintained by the Fitbit app.

After re-installing the Fitbit app, and logging into your Fitbit account. The app will see which tracker is connected to your Fitbit account, then the app will ask for permission to connect the tracker to your phones Bluetooth.

However sleep score is based on seeing sleep stages. Sleep stages needs to see 3 hours of sleep along with seeing a consistant heart rate
