Charge 3 splits my hour treadmill workout into 2 and/or simply shorts me on time of exercise by 20%

Charge 3 captured all my treadmill activities until last week. Now it either cuts off part of the minutes on treadmill, or splits the time on treadmill in two or splits the time in two workouts and calcs as part treadmill or "walking" and the other elliptica!. HELP. I've reset it and recharged, reset it again and it continues to do this. Any suggestions to get this back to great again? Getting really frustrated with this thing.

If you would use the Exercise App instead of relying on auto-recognition, this would not be an issue.  Before you start, you specify what the activity is, and you tell it when you start and end the exercise.

I read up on that but that defeats the auto recognize feature that I've come to love 😞

I'm really trying to get it to do what it's been doing in the past as I'm not understanding why it's changed.

Thank you for your reply though.

Howdy JohnnyRow! Ok, so I went ahead and used the Exercise App as you suggested and that worked perfect! Thank you for the work around. It appears to be even more accurate than auto track so I'm happy about that that's for sure. One question if you can answer it, it's layout  on dashboard after completion is a bit different, notes miles instead of Minutes and Pace instead of calories. If that cannot be changed (I do not care if it can or not) then how might I do that if I wanted to and MORE importantly, is the "Pace" the distance traveled during said exercise?

Thank you again for you input. It was most helpful.

Glad it worked out for you, at least somewhat.

I'm not sure of this part, so maybe someone else will correct me, but I expect the difference in stats on completion is based on the categorization of the workout.  Did you call it something different from what it was getting called by auto-recognizing, perhaps 'Walk' vs. 'Treadmill'?  Again not sure, but I think you could call it either one (or even hike, run, or workout) and the only difference would be possibly in the results presentation, plus of course what it is called in log if you want to be able to look at history and remember what the workout was.

I expect that Pace is time per mile, though as I recall the symbols for minutes and seconds look like feet and inches, causing some confusion.
