Charge 3 steps and floors inaccurate

My Charge 3 adds more steps (approx 40% or more) each day. I do a 9k run most days and noticed my daily totals were looking much higher than usual (used to have a Charge 2 until about 2 weeks ago).

Have started wearing the two trackers on the same wrist at the same time to compare the difference and even over 1 hour, the Charge 3 clocked up 3,335 steps compared to the charge 2 of 2,028

Have looked back on my average floors over the last 2 months and this too has risen dramatically by approx 40-50% even though I am still doing my same run.  Have been working at home since mid March so can't account for all these extra steps.

Can the charge 3 be re-calibrated to be more accurate?

It's great to see you around, @Surreygirl.

I would like to know if you keep having problems with your information? If so, I recommend taking a look at the help article: How accurate are Fitbit devices? and follow the tips provided there.

I hope to hear from you soon and let me know how the troubleshoot goes.
