Charge 3 stopped showing texts messages

My Charge 3 just stopped showing text messages about a week ago now. It was working fine then nothing. I have followed every bit of instructions from deleting my Bluetooth history and pairing it a up again, erasing the Fitbit ap off my phone and reinstalling it. I have been working hours and hours days after days to get this back to working and nothing works.. help

Hi @Dcoats What phone are you usinG? Is it on the Supported Devices List  ?

Have you tried all the suggestiins in THIS Help Article on notification issues?

Does this issue just affect the Charge 3? I am a teacher and rely on my
Charge 3 for communication alerts from the office through the messaging
app. I hope this is resolved soon.

Hi there @Teamhozie. I totally understand where your concern is coming from. 

 

Currently, this issue has affected most of our Fibit devices and smartwatch with the ability to receive notifications. 

 

We'll make sure to keep you posted as soon as we have more details.

I found a solution for getting my notifications back on my Charge 3 from my Samsung Galaxy S10. I installed the app Google Messages and made it the default in my phone. And then refreshed my Fitbit and my texts started coming back in instantly. Good luck!

Thank you. I would try that except now my charge 3 will not hold a battery charge for more than 20 hours. Fitbit refuses to replace since I am 2 months past the warranty expiration. Sadly, I am moving on to another brand.

I spoke with them yesterday in a "chat" and they said there was nothing they could do. I sent the following in my reply after completing the suggestions (Jan 29th, 8:26AM).

"Thank you, Aldrin.

I did as you suggested. I turned off everything except heart-rate. According to my app, the heart-rate feature has not worked since January 20. I turned off all notifications and everything else suggested in the link you provided. I took the 100% charged Fitbit charge 3 off the charger at roughly 6 am. I synced it 6 times yesterday, as you suggested. It quit working a little after 2 am this morning. Twenty-Hour battery life is not good. Now add that I had all functions turned off, it was basically a watch with no other functions. This is unacceptable. I have to have a solution and as soon as possible. Can you help?"
 
I received no response. So, I started a chat yesterday afternoon. I gave the associate case #34237685. She said I was past the 365 day warranty. Then the associate offered a coupon for twenty-five percent off a new Fitbit. That did not assuage me.

I have a similar problem where my wellness reminders and notifications for Microsoft teams aren’t working. It’s odd bc messages and calls work and reminders to be active work. I’ve done all the steps for Bluetooth and restarting and updating and nothing has worked. I contacted customer support and they got to me to do the same things I’ve already done which didn’t work. Also sometimes the notifications just stop sending all together and I don’t know why. How do I repair the faults?
