Could someone please help me with the same issue. I posted a few times yesterday but have had no response.

The hr monitor is no longer working. The green lights are not on.

It has stopped entirely. I have tried every suggestion so far loggebdonnthis post, plus a few more and have nad no luck.

And on restarting the watch whilst attached to charger, since the screen came back on it has even more black lines across it!

The screen is also too dim to see in daylight outside but that's irrelevant if I can't get the hr to work as it then become useless.

Could someone please advise.

I've tried everything on these forums to fix the no heart rate issue and there is no green light blinking on the back of my fitbit. Was fine all day yesterday, but the heart rate is not working and it is not tracking the 250 steps per hour either. On the app it does show my total steps, but no heart rate there either.

tried all this still not recording trends

I am sorry. I gave up on Fitbit. I had used their products for over 12 years but their customer service is non existent. My Charge 3 stopped tracking heart rate, then stopped holding a charge but for an hour or two and then it caught on fire while charging. When I tried contacting anyone I got someone overseas and they said they would let the USA office know. I have tried many time-no return calls. I finally bought a Garmin vivosmart 4 and love it. It was on sale and received it quickly. Easy to set up. I recommend it to all my Fitbit friends.

My heart rate on my Charge3 stopped working yesterday. As a result, it also will not track my sleep. I noticed the green LEDs stopped flashiing, as well. I have reset my device several times with the charger cable. I tried the reboot instructions, but nothing works. I checked my settings, and heart rate is set to "on". Also, there are 2 dead stripes on the display - one across the top and one across the bottom. This occurred at the same time the heart rate stopped working. Resetting the device did not help that either. All other functions seem to be working normally.

Hi, I really wish the reboot after making sure the HR is turned on, worked, but alas I am still frustrated with this particular fitbit.  I have had 3 fitbits which worked perfectly and I gave them to others each time I got a new one and 2 are still in use and working perfectly!  However, this one, a Charge 3 limited edition, bought for $170, just 18 months ago, is driving me insane. I suddenly began having no HR and no power after a day. .

Same watch, same band, same person - has worked perfectly until now.  HR not recording, and power gone in a day. No changes were made on the app or setting prior to this change. This fitbit has been taken care of impeccably, no water, no damage, etc.

If you can, please suggest something I haven't tried.  Looking forward to your suggestions.

Thank you in advance.

These suggested steps didn’t work for me. Not only is the heart rate not being measured which means there is no sleep data, but the green light on the inside of the device is not consistently shining and the red light is on. I got the Charge 3 on November 30 last year and it worked well for two months until the battery needed charging more and more frequently finally losing its charge within a couple of hours. After many calls and trials, it was replaced on April 4, 2020. It’s worked fine until two days ago (3 months) when the heart rate (and the sleep score) functions stopped working.

I had about the same experience with both of my Charge 3s.

My heart rate is no longer working either. Also there are dark lines across the display and the Fitbit is not holding a charge for long. I tried all the suggestions. Thanks.

Did you ever get your Charge 3 working, my is doing the same things, I've tried all the suggestions, no green light, no tracking of sleep or heart rate?

It works sporadically. I am going to purchase a garmin unit. I have come to the conclusion that Fitbit is garbage, and so is their hardware. To push this defective garbage on people knowing it’s defective is both immoral and repugnant.

No I did not. I ended up buying a new one, they said I was past my warranty.

Hi.....This is my third or fourth fitbit but the first with similar problems to you. Nothing works to fix and only 18 months old. Glad to hear fitbit replaced your's. Where did you call for assistance? Maybe I can get some help. Thanks.

Hi,

Go to fitbit.com/support and call to request assistance. Your Fitbit may not be under warranty any longer in which case you’re out of luck.

I'm currently facing the same problem as you are and I'm not sure what to do, is there a proper way that I can fix this issue? because I don't think it was really addressed here.

It is very frustrating, I know it was from a software update but Fitbit refuses or is unable to fix the problem. Very disappointed with this watch. I bought it fir swimming and only for swimming and it no longer is of any value to me.

(Charge 3) I am also having a similar issue. No flashing green light in back, no heart rate recording. I have attempted the suggested steps of restarting the device from the charge cable as well as rebooting from the setting menu. Also double-checked that it wasn't as simple as not turning on heart rate monitor. Have attempted multiple restarts/reboots but the green flashy light remains elusive. Any  additional advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I wish I had some advice.  I tried contacting fitbit, even wrote to the ceo... nothing back. Had to buy a new one. Sad.
