Hello, earlier in the summer my charge 3 got a firmware upgrade since then it does not vibrate at 10K steps, as it did prior to the upgrade. it also now locks up and has to be attached to the charging cable to reboot. i have tried all of the "recommended" resets on the internet. So can someone help me???

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Grumpyoldman51.

I am sorry to hear your Charge 3 stopped vibrating at 10k steps after the firmware update and locks up. Thanks for trying to resolve this, I appreciate the additional details and I am here to help. I recommend confirming that you don't have "Do not disturb" or "Sleep Mode” turned on: press and hold the button on your tracker. Tap a setting to turn it off. When you turn off the setting, the icon appears dim with a line through it. For more information, see How do I navigate my Fitbit device's screen? For additional troubleshooting tips, see Why didn't my Fitbit device alert me?

Please also confirm if you've tried the following:

  1. Restart the device: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  2. Change a clock face: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?
  3. Long restart:
  • Connect the device to the charging cable.
  • While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  • The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration
  • The device turns off.
  • The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  • Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  • Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Additionally, I recommend checking if your Fitbit app is updated to the latest version as updates come with new features and bug fixes: How do I update the Fitbit app?

By the way, I've moved your post to Charge 3 board so we can keep our forums organized.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

LilyaFitBit you are the greatest. FIXED the problem. Now I have a problem with brightness, works great in the dark, but outside it can not be seen. I have checked the setting and i keep it on NORMAL, but it keeps going back to AUTO. Any guidance?
