My charge 3 is only 9 months old - went swimming today - after which it went dead ... despite the fact it was fully charged. Now l can’t get it to respond at all ... any suggestions?

Have you tried restarting your Charge 3? If your device is not syncing, I'd recommend taking a look at the article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
Charge 3 is swim-proof in a lake, pool, or ocean (up to 50 meters). For more information about wearing your Fitbit device, see our Wear and Care page.

Same here. I went swimming yesterday and now it won't charge and keeps vibrating.

Same here too. Charge 3 is just over a month old. Swim once a week. Up until today no problems then it just kept vibrating, now won’t work at all. Tried restarting still nothing

Hi.
Went swimming in a pool for the first time with Charge 3. It started vibrating in short pulses, black face, then stopped. Just a black face since. Won't sync. It was fully charged. Put it on charger to restart. Felt short vibe, saw smiley face but still nothing. Phone/Bluetooth won't connect. Bummed.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. My Fitbit Charge 3 is 3 months old and I went swimming with it for a few minutes. It was working fine after the fact but it has no display today and it keeps vibrating when I touch the button.

Please follow the steps I've provided here. Then, I'd also suggest to charge your device at least 1 hour and if necessary, you can restart your devices again.

Sorry this is long but here's what happened (I think i am only replying to you):
Attached charging cable
(no battery icon)
Felt short vibration pulses
Smiley showed up again! For a minute or so inbwtn which the face flashed something like ‘restarting screen’
Then face back to black, left watch on charger
Tried to sync with phone app, found Charge 3, app said Battery Empty
Bluetooth connection disappeared from phone display
Charge 3 on charger...
Then there was a LONG vibration, then it stopped
More random long vibrations..
It just keeps vibrating!!!
Took off charger
The third light (second above the three dots is showing red, then nothing.
Still vibrating
Then the green light flashed (stopped vibrating) green went away and vibrating started again
Now vibrating continuously
Now red light on more or less continuously and vibration has become a sputtering lower frequency vibration
Now red and green flashing and very little vibration (like tapping)
Now all red, no tapping
Now tapping again
I think it is running down what the battery gained.
Maybe shorted out?
Slower flashing
[I couldn’t get a satisfactory press on the button (per directions) while the watch was in the charger, that is why I took it out.]

I too am having this issue.......shortly after swimming, battery needed charging. Placed it on charge, smiley face and vibration. Now no screen at all (on or off charging) even though vibrating when putting it on charging.

I've tried to restart it twice now after leaving it on the charger for over 3 hours. The Fitbit still works and I get vibration every time I get a text but there isn't a displayat all.

Hi there ,
My fit bit 3 has done exactly what the comments above have done, I have tried the restart etc but nothing, at first it went mad vibrating and the screen flickered on and off but wouldn't respond to touch, now the screen is black, keeps vibrating in short bursts. If I look at the back there are no lights on how ever the sensors look like they have condensation in them. My watch is less than 6 months old I bought it on the 7th of June... Please can you advise on what to do. I swim most days but not for long periods of time... and only ever in a gym pool... any advice would be great I'm disappointed that it has gone wrong as it was a very special gift.

I went through the reset process to no avail. My charge 3 display is just blank and doesn't respond. My fitbit app also no longer sees the unit.
