Charge 3 stuck on smiley face

My Fitbit Charge 3 kept going to the DND screen.  I did a hard reset (# 1) like the forums comments said.  It got stuck on constant vibrating.  I did another hard reset (# 2) like the forums said.  It got stuck on the smiley face.  Did another hard reset and another (#3 & #4) just like the forums said and it is STILL stuck in smiley face mode! At the same time some of the features don’t seem to work.  This is getting frustrating and I’m about to throw this sucker away.
