Charge 3 stuck on smiley face

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

This morning I noticed that my charge 3 not sync. It shows just smiley face. I tried to restart by all recomendations I have found in this forum and nothing helps.

When band is left on charger after some time is shows 001. Few times trying to restart it showed a line but then a smiley and nothing more happened.

It doesnt vibrate when I connect to charger but vibrates on pressing the button.

Is it dead or there's still a chance?

Hello @reinikeda

I’d try changing your clock face on the Fitbit App.Open your Fitbit App, tap profile picture then scroll down and tap Charge 3 then tap gallery then clocks at the top
😃Give it a try and let me know if that helps.

Tried this in first place - unable to connect to device.

Hello again @reinikeda

I would try restarting your Charge 3 again. The rule of thumb (for a lack of a better word) is to try at least three times. If that doesn’t work you can try performing a long restart by doing the following:

  • Plug the device into the charging cable.
  • While the device is plugged into the charging cable, hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  • Remove your finger from button. Note: Device won't have a smiley face icon and should be off with a black screen.
  • Remove the device from the charging cable.
  • Plug the device into the charging cable again.
  • The smiley face icon appears on the screen.

😃 Tell me how it goes

Screen went blank after about 6 seconds, then after few seconds smiley appears and nothing happens. Tried hold for 15 seconds, same happens - blank screen after 6 seconds, then smiley. Doesn't change anything if I unplug charger or not.

Hello again @reinikeda

I’m sorry that the restart, changing clock face and long restart didn’t help. I’d call Fitbit Customer Service: https://myhelp.fitbit.com/s/support?language=en_US. I personally like calling them directly but live chat is a great option as well.
I really do hope you get this sorted out soon. I’m sorry again I was unable to help but if Fitbit Customer Service provides you with a workable fix please consider returning her as share what it was. Doing so can really help others who might be experiencing the same issue.

Strange thing happened. I had no time so I left my Fitbit on shelf and then forgot it. After more than a month I decided to check it. I put it on charger and it worked! It's working well again for more than a week. Have no idea what happened but it's working as new again.
