Charge 3 switching screens

My charge 3 first was just a blank screen, then started switching rapidly from home screen to screen awake/notifications screen without stopping. When I plugged it in to the charger it looked OK, restarted it, got the smile, so I unplugged and it seemed ok for a couple minutes but then it just started switching between all the screens rapidly again.
