Charge 3 text has lines voided out in it

I seen the thread about this and no resolution. It's where the text has lines voided out in it. Several lines and makes text hard to read since part of that text is missing now. I did resets, reboots, Software updates and it did nothing to fix the issue.

I had this problem while still in warranty but didn't realize I had a 1 year warranty. It's just out of warranty now and I'm pretty disappointed in Fitbit in general. My Charge 2 died in a year and half and now the charge 3 had problems that was a known design defect where replacements were issued. WilsonFitbit was in the thread.

Wondering if I should even stick with Fitbit as reliability just isn't there. Hoping to a resolution as I've spent $300 in less than 3 years on defective Fitbits. Can't keep throwing money away.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @MikeE12.

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Charge 3. Thank you for trying to get them resolved before contacting us.

In addition to the regular restart, we recommend performing a long restart:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

If you continue having display issues, please change your Fitbit device's clock face:

  • From the Today tab EdsonFitbit_0-1639530755285.png in the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Charge 3
    tile.
  • Tap Clock Faces.
  • Browse the available clock faces. Tap a clock face to see a detailed view.
  • Tap Install to add the clock face to Charge 3.

Hope this helps.

Unfortunately now the screen went out completely and nothing will bring it back to life. No vibrations no nothing. Put it back on charger, press side button and nothing. Even held for 15 seconds, nothing. It was charged to 98%.
