Charge 3, totally unless and inconsistent in the data tracking results. Simply doesn’t work

Had the charge 3 for about 2-3 months now, It’s totally unreliable in the exercise data it provides. It’s performance has progressively declined each week and today it has finally failed to record any data for a Bike ride. I have tried all the advice offered and nothing has improved it’s poor performance with my iPhone 6s plus.
