Charge 3 vibrated and started cycling between screens

All of a sudden today, my charge 3 started vibrating non-stop and cycling between the clock face screen and the sleep/dnd screen. It won’t let me go to any other screen. I tried doing a hard reset, but that didn’t fix the issue. The time on the screen also looks grainy, like it does when the battery is low, but the battery is at 70%. I tried putting it in the charger, but now the screen won’t turn on at all. I bought it just over a year ago, so I’m very disappointed by this - you’d think it would last longer. Any tips about what is going on?

And now when I try to do another hard reset, there’s just a constant buzz as I hold down and nothing else happens

Hi there @Otherxtina

Thank you for the detailed information and for already trying to resolve the issue. If you've tried to restart your Charge 3 and the inconvenience has persisted, I'd recommend trying to perform a long restart. A long restart is different than the basic one and you can complete it by following the instructions below:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Hope this helps.

I tried this but the issue didn’t resolve. For a period of time there was a 100 and a diamond shape on the screen, and now there’s nothing. It won’t turn on, even though I’ve tried a normal reset and a long reset

This exact thing happened to me today after I washed my hands and a bit of water got under the band. I’ve used this Fitbit in the Pool many times as it’s supposed to be waterproof so idk what happened here. Neither short reset nor long reset work, there is zero response from the device. It vibrated itself to death.
