Fully charged.....blank screen.....vibrates when button is pushed

I just finished with Support. Was unable to resolve. Was offered a 25%
coupon but since this is about my 5th fitnot device, and my wife is on
device 4 or 5, I am looking into other devices.

It’s done my was the same only 7 months old but it was a replacement for one that had blank lines on the screen and it was only 6 months old.  Now out $200 because fb won’t own up it their defective products

Some updates for anyone interested. I was in contact with support who walked me through all of the steps that I had already tried (cleaning contacts, short restart, long restart, etc). In the end offered a 25% discount. I put the Charge 3 on charge again and did the long restart about another dozen or so times while researching other smartwatch/fitness trackers, when my Charge 3 came back to life and was seemingly working. However, it was very much hit or miss with sleep tracking (prior had 100% detailed stats, after almost always basic stats). And I have been getting the screen lines issue, and now have two different parts of the clock with differing brightness or monochrome "shades". 

 

To top it off, when I try to use the 25% discount could link I was sent, the Charge 4 is not an option, but the Charge 3 is. I absolutely loved the Charge 3, but from my experience, and from reading these forums, I do not want to replace it with a unit that clearly has major design or manufacturing flaws!

Same here. Ya know I was iffy about this my charge 2 has a crack and it is still working.

 

I know this product is made in India and we can now all see the reason why we need to buy American. They are actually refusing to replace or anything.

A reputable company would do anything for the customer who spent this amount of money.

At least they would have a contract with a local cell phone place to repair it.

Chances are it's easy to fix too.

Well bye bye Fitbit never again.

hi ive tried restarting my charge 3 but it wont turn on and just vibrates please help!

Hi! I tried both reset and changing the clock face and neither worked for me. The device is still recording steps and syncing, just not allowing me to see progress without opening app. This happened a week ago but I was able to restart. That’s not working now.

Spent too long trying to find how to click on account as I don’t have the icon on my screen, so I could at least try to update the clock face in the hope it may work. The vibrate is getting weaker, not holding out much hope.
How frustrating.....😡

I totally agree. I gave up months ago and will never buy a Fitbit product again. They don’t stand by their products at all. Sad.

I hope you can get some help from them. I got nothing more than was suggested on this blog. None of them worked for me and Fitbit only offered a limited time 25% off coupon because I had purchased it 15 months prior. They should disclose the life span is only 1-2 years then I never would have paid over $100. Good luck.

i have the same issue and more! 
screen went blank yesterday, when on the charger I can see the screen but it goes as soon as it is unplugged. have tried both of the reboot options and these haven’t worked. Cannot try the option of changing the clock face as the app is not finding my tracker. Suggestions please, only had this one a couple of months and this was a replacement for a failed unit! .

I agree, it's also interesting that everyone is having the same issue.

Plus how timely they have yet another one out now.

I won't buy it

I think it's obvious they won't be around much longer.
I'll save up for a apple.

I have the same problem of a blank screen on a Fitbit Charge 3 that otherwise seems to be functioning normally. Unfortunately, before checking out this site I tried to unpair and repair the device to my phone, so now I have no option to change the clock face via the app. Other options of long resets (8 secs or 15 secs) do not seem to do anything. Currently I am keeping the unit off charge to see if it will auto-reset once the battery dies. Appreciate any guidance to fix my device.

my charge 3 only vibrates when I place it on charger then it gets really hot and the screen is still blank I cant even it to sync with my phone its saying device not found... please HELP!

Update. Spent a good hour on the Livechat Monday, was offered a replacement and they sent me an email with a link to log the claim. When I went to the log I didn’t have the option to get a like for like replacement, a Charge3 in grey/gold. so next day I went back to livechat went through my issue and they agreed to order me the same replacement .

so I can’t complain about the service I received
