Charge 3 vibration motor and screen wake not working

Two issues:

1. My fitbit no longer vibrates to alert me of my steps needed 10 mins before each hour.

2. My fitbit screen no longer lights up when I flick my wrist up. I have to push the side button to check my heart rate. This is super inconvenient for someone with anxiety who likes to nonchalantly check her heart rate.

Hi there @MissCobra, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 3's vibration motor and screen wake stopped working, I understand why you're feeling that way. I'll be glad to help you.

Have you tested your Charge 3's vibration motor? Does it vibrate when you receive notifications? Your Fitbit device vibrates to alert you at various times, including if you set an alarm, when you hit your step goal, or if you haven’t met your hourly activity goal.

If your device didn't alert you, make sure you successfully set an alarm. For more information, see How do I manage alarms on my Fitbit device?

If you correctly set the alarm or aren’t receiving other alerts, test your device’s vibration motor by connecting the device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?

Also, please note that when you turn on the Do Not Disturb, Quiet hours, or Driving mode setting on your phone Fitbit Charge 3 receives notifications, but your device won’t alert you. Swipe down to see your notifications.

If paired to an Android phone, your Fitbit watch or tracker can alert you to notifications at any time:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the account icon > your device image > Notifications
  2. In the Vibration Settings section, turn on the Always Vibrate option.

About the Screen Wake, please follow @JohnnyRow's steps. For more information, see How do I see the time on my Fitbit device?

2)

Hold in side button a few seconds; scroll down to Screen Wake; tap to toggle on or off.

If that doesn't work, you might be in Sleep Mode just above Screen Wake - also tap to toggle on or off.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
