I have been testing the new tracker by wearing it along side my Charge 3... After a few days I am noticing that the 4 is counting a lot more steps than the 3, as well as draining the battery much faster.
According to the company propaganda, the GPS is not supposed to drain battery when it is not turned on. So given the fact that I have not initiated any exercises, there should be no reason for the battery to be dying so much faster. They claim to both have the same battery life.
The Charge 3 is currently at 80% while the Charge 4 is at 61%. It is almost 3 days since I started.
Edit: After updating the firmware, the battery life seems to be pretty close.
After fully charging both trackers, they have been worn side by side.
The steps are way off. The 3 has me at 2307 while the 4 has me at 2710.
What could be causing this discrepancy?
Also where are the tech specs listed for the batteries? i.e. voltage and mAH? It seems the product page has taken a queue from Apple has no useful technical information beyond "7 days"!
Thanks

Same here: I would like to know where to find the Fitbit battery specs. I bought a charge 2 battery but never used it for my old Fitbit charge 2. Can I use it on a charge 3 instead?
