Charge 3 went crazy yesterday, now won't hold a charge

My Charge 3 is 18 months old. Right after the 12 month mark, screen got a bunch of broken pixels. No big deal, just annoying.

Yesterday, it went berserk. It was vibrating continuously as if I was rapidly holding the sides to change the screen and I was unable to squeeze the sides to stop it. It was flicking between screens, too. I put it on the charger, tried to reset it. It went to the end of the reset line and froze.

Fine. I left it. When I came back an hour or so later, it was back on, not vibrating anymore, but the backlight was red and the charge was suddenly 6%. For the whole time I have had it, I have kept the charge mostly at 80% by charging briefly once every other day.

I reset it a second time until the light went back to green, charged it, put it on to sleep. When I woke, it was at 6%. I charged it again this morning to about 80%. Put it back on about 7am. Now, it's at 6% again and I just put it back on to charge.

I understand it is out of warranty. Is this a battery problem? Can I fix it?

I still haven't received a message from a Customer Support rep who is in charge of my ticket. Is there a reliable time frame for a response?
