My Fitbit Charge 3 is barely a year old. The all day synch stopped working at 6 months unless I reboot it 3 times every time it’s charged. Now the display has vertical white stripes down it. Any suggestions? Am I just unlucky?

In order to address the syncing difficulties, I'd recommend following the troubleshooting steps provided in the help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
If the steps don't work, let's try the steps below:
- Open Settings app on phone
- Scroll down, tap Fitbit -> Toggle Location to 'Always'
- Ensure toggles next to Bluetooth and Background App Refresh are turned ON
About the screen, please restart your Charge 3 by following these steps.
