Charge 3 white streaks on the screen

Had my Charge 3 since Christmas last year - so nearly 1 year. Screen was fine up until this morning.

I had taken off the Fitbit and put it in the charging dock overnight.

When I woke up and took it out of the dock the screen has gone almost entirely white. Changing the watch face has not removed the white streaks - looks like screen burn a bit as others have stated.

It's now very difficult to scroll through the screen and select the exercise routines, etc...

Hello there @DrPaulV, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for changing the clock face on your Charge 3 to solve the white lines on the screen. Nice way to go!

Since the white lines remained, please restart your Charge 3 by following the steps below:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

Give this a go and let me know the outcome.

 That didn't work for me… 😞

Didn’t work for me.  It won’t scroll, no texts, doesn’t accurately track steps, doesn’t track sleep, has faded white streaks across screen after I charged it last week.  This is a piece of garbage. It is slightly over a year old I believe.

This did not work for me.

What else will fix this?

The restart hasn't worked for me.  Tried it twice.  Still have faded lines in the face and they don't change when I select a different face.

My white streaks are gone because now the screen doesn’t work at all. It still tracks sleep, has inaccurate steps but I can’t use it as a watch bc I can’t see what’s on the screen. I have to sync it to see my steps, time, sleep etc. which I can see on my phone. Garbage.

I talked to the chat person and after a couple of test procedures they are replacing my charge 3. It is within the warranty period. I really like the product just needed them to verify that it had gone walkabout.

I am having the same problem - also did a hard restart and nothing changed. From all the posts I see about this, perhaps something is faulty with the watch itself?

They determined that my watch had a non-recoverable issue and as it was less than a year old they gave me a discount on a new item.

Didn't work for me either. The brightness has dimmed, can hardly read it. Also quit syncing Feb. 26,2021. Useless now! I've done many steps from the manual with no success.

Did not work for me either. Does this means I have to upgrade such a young piece? It's worse than a phone for reliability.

I had no success or help from fitbit support. Do they care? Gave up. No
more! Mine is now in the trash.
Went shopping! I got a very good unit (not Fitbit brand) elsewhere for
just under $40 that I like really well, (even better) and works excellent,
had for about a month so far. Impressed with the features that are
important to me, and the app..... Heart rate, Oxygen, sleep, date/time,
steps and battery life.

I chose to upgrade to the Versa 3 and am very happy with it. They gave me 50% off.

Glad they did that for you. Good luck to you with it.
My husband's Versa didn't work right before a year was up, and he discarded
it, so I felt we were done messing with them.
