Charge 3 will not connect to my phone

I haven’t used my charge 3 in almost a year and I’m trying to get it reconnected to my iPhone and it won’t connect at all.

I have rebooted the Fitbit (holding down the side button until the face appears and under settings on the watch) uninstalled and reinstalled the app numerous times, turned Bluetooth on and off numerous times and  restarted my phone. When I go on the set up Fitbit option, it comes up with ‘we’ve found your tracker’ and then just says connecting but nothing actually happens.

Can anyone help please?

I know the Fitbit needs updating but I don’t think I can do that until it’s connected / synced to my phone?

I have this same issue, it hasn't paired since January and I can't get it to connect at all.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @LottieMay @NewUserLuddite.

I am sorry to hear you're unable to connect your Charge 3 trackers to your Fitbit accounts. Thanks for trying to resolve this, I appreciate the additional details and I am here to help. I would like to confirm if you've tried the following:

  1. Confirm that the software on your phone is up to date: Tap Settings > General > Software Update.
  2. On your phone, tap Settings > Bluetooth > the information icon next to the name of your Fitbit device > Forget This Device.
  3. Turn off other Bluetooth connections that are nearby.
  4. Verify if the Fitbit app is updated to the latest version. See this link.
  5. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  6. Reboot your phone.
  7. Restart your Fitbit with the steps from this help article.
  8. Open the Fitbit app, tap on your profile picture > Set Up a Device.
  9. Choose your Fitbit from the list and follow the onscreen instructions.

For complete troubleshooting instructions, see Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Looking forward to hearing back from you.
