Charge 3 won't charge. Jumping screen.

My charge 3 will not charge. I can't do the software update because it won't sync. After multiple tries I was finally able to change the clock. When I hook to the charger, I get the smile and then the screen just starts flashing and vibrating. It does this for about 2 minutes. During that time, it is trying to sync then shuts off. I get the progressive line and then nothing. Since it's doing this, I cannot attempt any kind of restart. None of the side buttons respond.  I cleaned the unit and charge connectors to no avail.

here are the things you need to do if your Fitbit Charge 3 is no longer charging properly…

Restart your Fitbit Charge 3 first.
Connect Fitbit charger to another power source.
Make sure your Fitbit Versa is clean as well as it’s cable.
Check if the Fitbit charger is heating up.
First of all, you should reboot your Fitbit Charge 3 especially if it’s the first time that the problem started because it could be just result of a minor glitch in the system. The charging process is done by both the hardware and firmware so having the memory refreshed will help fix this problem.

Another thing you have to do is connect your Charge 3 to a different power source aside from its charger. You may connect it to your computer, other power adapters or to a power bank and see if it charges because if it does, then it’s clear that the problem is its own adapter. However, if it doesn’t charge no matter where it’s connected, then there’s the possibility that the problem is with the cable or the tracker itself.

Regards,

Will
