Charge 3 won't charge above 1%

My charge 3 is a little over a year old.  Within the past week it has stopped charging.  The smiley face appears when I attach it to the charger but it never gets above 1%.  As soon as I take it off the charger it goes blank.  I've tried resetting it multiple times but that doesn't fix it.  The screen also now has lines in it when it's on and attached to the charger.

I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Charge 3 is not charging and the display shows lines. Thank you for the information provided and for trying to resolve the issue before contacting us.

 

Besides the restart, you can try some other troubleshooting steps on this article that might be of help.

 

In addition, you can perform a long restart:

 

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable. 
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds. 
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration. 
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur. 
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

I’ve tried holding it down for at least 30 seconds and nothing restarts or happens. What are my options at this point?  If purchasing a new Fitbit is the answer I’ll look into a new solution. A year and a half use life for something like this is unacceptable.

Update, the face of my fitbit fell off while I was sleeping last night.  I need an update on what can be done ASAP.
