Charge 3 won't charge or track my data

My Charge 3 is doing the same thing please help? When I did get some charge on mine the fitbit symbol and 100 came up on the screen and since then nothing. It hasn't recorded any more steps or anything! Also it has recorded my climbing the stairs, but not my steps or active minutes. When I press the side it doesn't do anything. The screen shows nothing but I can track on the phone app.

Hi there, @Martic. Thanks for the details provided in your post. 

 

If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend performing a long restart on your Charge 3. To do so, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable. 
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds. 
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration. 
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur. 
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

I did reset it once and the Fitbit symbol and 100 came up on the screen,
then nothing. Up to a point the stats showed on my phone. I charged the
battery but after a while it would show battery was down to 3%. I tried to
reset again and now get nothing. It's strange that it would capture me going
up the stairs but not steps! It's as if the button on the side that you push
is not working. It doesn't respond. When I tried to change clock it doesn't
connect. Tried to reconnect to my phone but code doesn't show up on the
screen. Are there any details on how the button on the side is supposed to
work? Why it wouldn't respond when pressing it?

I already called and got the email that the item is no longer under warranty and a coupon with 35% off on a new one. I just want to know what could have happened.
