Charge 3 won’t connect to GPS for runs

No problems for several months now all of a sudden when it comes to logging a run it will only connect GPS to my phone when the app is open on my phone. When my phone locks it disconnects. (Fine on walks) - I’ve reset everything and still no joy? Are you doing an Apple tactic and breaking GPS settings so we’re forced to go for a charge 4? Really annoyed with the Fitbit brand at the moment. Have an aria 2 with issues now my charge 3 less than a year is having problems. Do I just accept Fitbit quality is not up to the standard?

Have happened to me also. Reset of Fitbit device and restart of mobile seems to work. Have you tried that?

Aria, Charge 5, and Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite (Android One) user.
