Charge 3 won't hold a charge (battery dies in minutes)

my charge 3 stopped holding a charge a few days ago. It'll say it's charged to 100% and then when I take it off the charger it dies in less than 5 minutes. I've tried restarting it and nothing seems to help.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @cheekylady. Thank you for trying restarting your Charge 3 in order to make the battery last.

 

To charge your device properly try the following steps:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Make sure you use the charging cable that came with your device, as most cables aren't compatible with other devices.

    Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?

  • Restart your device again. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

I had already done all of this before coming to the forum. I have cleaned the contacts, trued multiple USB port and UL-certified chargers, and restarted my device multiple times. It literally can't keep a charge.
