Charge 3 won't let me change my workout to swimming when I put it as running

Hi,

I have a charge 3 and the only way I have figured out to track my heart rate while I swim is by saying I'm running. So I say I'm doing a running workout when I'm swimming. This works to show my heart rate, however after I want to change it and say that it was a swim because it actually was. When you press on the workout in the app, you can press Categorize Exercise, however, the only options are Bike, golf, hike, interval workout, run, and walk. I need this to be a swim so I can show my PE teacher, but I don't know how. However, sometimes it says search for exercise type and lets me choose swimming, but when I leave the workout and come back, it goes back to running. Please help!

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @L.E.P. Thank you for sharing your exercise inquiry.

At this moment, swimming activities don't register heart rate. Sometimes work out activity lets you edit the name. Have you tried changing it from work out by typing swimming?
