Charge 3 won't pair with Galaxy S10

Hello,

I have read that the Galaxy s10 is not yet a compatible device for the charge 3. Is this true? Is there any information for when it will be compatible?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Binababy! The information you're providing is right, at this time the Galaxy S10 is not yet a supported device with the Fitbit app.

Note that the devices on this article have been confirmed as fully compatible with all features of Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app. While a phone or tablet may not be verified as fully compatible, the Fitbit app may still work with your device.

Our team routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models.

If your phone supports Bluetooth 4.0, I'd recommend giving the setup flow a try to see if you can successfully connect your tracker.

Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.

Let me know if there's anything else I may assist you with.

Update:about a week ago it just started working.  There weren't any updates installed and I didn't do anything differently.  Maybe there was a change in the back end of Fitbit somewhere.  All good now, though. (5/1/19)

Any word when this will be available? I've been trying for the last hour to get my Charge 3 to sync with my S10 before coming here. 😞

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @AmyTil! We don't have an estimate on when this device might be added to our list of Supported Devices

While a phone or tablet may not be verified as fully compatible, the Fitbit app may still work with your device. Our team routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models.

You can always take a look at the help articles: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? or Why won't I sync my Fitbit device?

Please let me know if there's anything else I may do to assist.

It's now almost a month since this thread and the app still won't allow connection via the Samsung S10 device. You guys charge £100+ for these devices. Do you even have anyone working on app development?

My Charge 3 pairs with the Galaxy s10+! It takes longer than other devices I've had by a minute or so but it does pair. Thank you FitBit!

It's now September 2019 and the device still won't connect with the Samsung S10. REALLY? This is not some trashy phone but a very commonly used one. Very disappointed.  Back to the store for a new device.

Mine did start pairing. Try uninstalling the app and reinstalling.  It took several tries syncing at first, I recommend having strong wifi and your Charge on the charger. Make sure your phone's software is also up to date.:)

For the life of me, I cannot set up my Charge 3 to my new Galaxy S10.  It runs on Android 10. I'm so frustrated. I've reached out to customer support twice...and both times I've come out with case numbers because they don't know what to do... I've tried everything!! Someone help!! I've been trying all the youtube videos now... I can't even use my FitBit to tell time... the time is wrong because it's not synced... so annoying...
