Charge 3 won't pair with my iPhone

Hello

After a long time I have now reactivated my Charge 3 I have reset it completely charged and deleted all user data.

Now I wanted to reconnect the tracker to my account. The app tells me that they can find the tracker, but nothing happens anymore. That means that the app stays in the status connect and does nothing more.

I have already restarted both devices, deactivated and reactivated Bluetooth and followed many other hints. But it didn't help at all, because I'm still not able to pair the tracker with my mobile successfully.

Greetings

@SunsetRunner I hope you're doing well!

Sorry to hear that your Charge 3 isn't pairing with your iPhone and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. You can try clearing the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi @SunsetRunner, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 3 won't sync with your phone. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

Please restart your Charge 3 as described in this help article. After this, make sure that your phone has the most recent Fitbit app version installed. Finally, set up your tracker from scratch and see if it connects with your phone properly.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Hi

I have tried the steps above, but it still not finish the pair process.

Because my watch was not in use for round about six month, it could be, that I have to update the firmware of the watch. So, how can I do that wihtout a connection between my phone and the tracker?

Hi

I have already tried to restart my tracker more than one time. I also done hard reset, also with the same result. The app was installed yesterday, so I think I have the newest version that is available in the Apple Store. But I have also looked for the ratings and comments regarding the app and for me it looks like, that there is general problem related to setting up a Bluetooth connection with a Charge 3 device.

At the moment I would just be happy, if I could use the tracker. But I can't even connect it to another mobile phone.
