Trying to pair new Charge 3 with Samsung S8. The Bluetooth sees the Charge 3 but doesn't pair successfully. I have tried 2 ways, without success:
- Restarted both the Charge 3 and phone
- Fitbit app account page, tap on set up a new device, select Charge 3, tap on 'set up your Fitbit Charge 3' and nothing happens. Any suggestions?

This worked for me. Thank you so much. I was getting very frustrated with my fitbit and the same responses from the rep here. My fitbit tracker has had syncing issues from week 1 but restarting it while plugged into a computer worked had worked previously. The past 2 weeks it hasn't synced up at all and this is the only thing that worked. If it stops syncing again in a few days, I will be returning the tracker. Unacceptable.

My Fitbit Charge 3 used to be paired to my phone. Impaired without me doing anything and now it will not pair back no matter what I do. I have tried deleting the app, restarting my phone etc etc. Nothing is working. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7. This seems to be a known issue.

Just got off the phone with customer service for the same issue. Tried all the suggestions and nothing worked. Tried again while on the phone with them and they even had me try to pair it with my laptop instead and it still wouldn't work.
They checked the warranty status (purchased at Best Buy but they don't offer a warranty on them anymore, so I'm referring to the manufacturer's 1 year warranty) and informed me it's still valid, and gave me the option to either replace it with the same one for no charge, or instead receive 50% off another of their products.
So if anyone is having this issue, I highly recommend calling their customer service and seeing if you can swap it out for a new one, because this issue is obviously ongoing and they clearly know it's happening and have accepted they now need to replace the defective ones.
Good luck to everyone!

Good luck with that i have had mine a few months and it regularily stops pairing even in always connected mode. Reboot the fitbit, restarted the phone and the bluetooth. Its a problem they need to sort out with their software. Its now just an expensive watch.
Did you return it to the shop or the manufacturer that built the badly engineered device.
Same problem syncing to my Samsung S8 it is intermittent at best worst case losing data. It appears the charge 3 is nothing more than an expensive watch and having a forum telling you this is useless. Get your act together fitbit and sort your products problems out.

Thank you for taking your time to write a response but if you would 'read' the issue, then you wouldn't have replied with the same old response.

Have done them all and it doesn’t work! Charge 3 is connected to Bluetooth but want stay. Bluetooth want pair to my Apple 8plus iPhone. Don’t have notifications or all day sync. What would you suggest?

Mine took over forty five minutes to update today and given a code to enter and was told it was paired. Not so still not first notifications and sync is still spinning!

Are you a bot? You keep ignoring all of the people that have tried all of the suggestions on those pages. Is there any internal effort to fix this bug/these bugs?

It's super hidden. On your fitbit, swipe left all the way. Tap on "About" then scroll down, and there should be an option to clear all data on the fitbit

Huh, even this forum is broken. My previous two posts were written as replies to other posts, but instead of appearing underneath those posts as is common on some forums, or simply automatically containing a reference to the post being replied to, this forum just does nothing.

I had previously been able to pair my existing charge 3 to my Google Pixel 2. This week when I attempted to do the recent update I was no longer able to pair my charge 3 to my phone. I have tried the following steps in this order:
*Going through the set up process on the app
*Resetting the charge 3 (held for both 8 and 15 seconds as recommended on another part)
*Turning the Bluetooth off & on
*Going through the set up process on the app
*Restarting my phone
*Turning the Bluetooth off & on
*Uninstalling & reinstalling the fitbit app
*Going through the set up process on the app
After reading the threads on related posts and reviewing your guidance, it's clear that something is defective on the charge 3.

I tried all of these things and my fitbit charge 3 still won’t pair with my phone. I am thinking about returning the fitbit and exchanging it for a new one. Any suggestions beforeI return it?

I eventually got mine to pair but I spent the $10-15 on a dongle so that I could pair my charge with my computer. You could check, some computers don't require the dongle to help with bluetooth. I figured it didn't hurt to have a backup if it stopped pairing with my phone again .
