Charge 3 won't receive notifications from Note 10+

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I recently got the Smasung note 10+ and since then I cannot get notifications on my Fitbit. I get call notifications after the call has ended but never when the call is happening and no text notifications at all. Anyone else run into this?

Try checking your notification settings, or restart your Charge 3 as shown in the sidebar labeled Restarting Charge 3.

Check the notification settings on both the Fitbit and the phone.
The Fitbit notification setting can be accessed via holding down on the side button for 1 second. Make sure notifications are enabled. In the app, they are accessed via the profile page, and in your tracker settings in the app. Go to notifications, and make sure whatever you are trying to get notifications for is enabled.

Done this several times. Even removed the app from my phone and reset everything when I redownload it. Still no luck.

I would recommend contacting Customer Support if this issue still persists.

Your phone is not on the Approved Devices list so may work for some functions and not others.

Hi there @Hbooty09, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided and for taking the time to troubleshoot the issue with the notifications prior to contacting us.

As @SunsetRunner mentioned, currently your Note 10+ isn't yet a compatible device as our team is working to optimize the Fitbit app and ensure its functionality with this model.

There is a possibility that your Charge 3 can sync and while there isn't a guarantee that it'll always work, we can try to troubleshoot this situation together. If you've not done so, please remove your Charge 3 from the Bluetooth settings, turn off other Bluetooth connections that aren't in use and set up your Charge 3 as a new device and set up the notifications again.

Thanks for all your help @SkullBurner.

Let me know if there's anything else I may do to help you in the meantime.

I recently also got a S10+ and for the first day I received all my notifications. Now I can no longer receive any text notifications. Calls and app notifications come through. I have restarted phone and charge (numerous times), disconnected the bluetooth, uninstalled the app, and also set up the charge 3 again with the app. All my settings are correct. Getting extremely frustrated I work outside all day and rely on my fitbit for my text notifications. Due to this fact I did not find out my mom was in the hospital until after I was done work. Charge 3 is no longer reliable.

I also have the Note 10+, funny thing is, it worked with my charge 3, I got my text messages on my charge 3 with no issues. It worked with the Note 10+!!! Then my phone updated to the android 10 firmware, that's when it stopped working. I was no longer able to receive my messages from my messages APP. But the other apps works fine on my charge 3. This has been going on since the beginning of January, and still no fix as of February 3rd. Im still waiting for a fix.

I'm sorry to hear that the steps recommended haven't worked @Wolverine86. As mentioned, your Note 10+ is not a supported device and this may be affecting your notifications even when troubleshooting steps were provided.

Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.

I'll be around if there's anything else I may do to help you.

@MarreFitbit  The Note 10+ is compatible, so far. I had to update Fitbit from the google play store and now my messages app work with my charge 3. Everything else still works also.

Hi there @Wolverine86, thanks for getting back. I'm glad to hear that your notifications are working.

However, please note that the Note 10+ is not an official supported device with the Fitbit app. You can see the list at: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?

Below you'll find the only Notes we currently support, the Note 5 and Note 9:

@Hbooty09  Try this, go to your google play store, in the search bar press on the 3 lines, should open up a drop down menu. Go to my apps and games, once in the my apps and games, look to see if there are any apps in the update area, look for the Fitbit app to see if it has an update. If so, and there are other apps that needs updating, press update all. New Fitbit app version is 3.14. This fixed my text messages problem to my charge 3. I now receive messages on my charge 3, as well as calls. Hope this hopes, good luck!

P.S. I have the Note 10+ with the Android 10 firmware, and so far it's working!!

Make sure, on your fitbit, that the "DND" (Do not disturb) isn't enabled...I've been troubleshooting this SAME problem for a while..and that's what my problem was! I hooked it up the charger, did the reset,(on the fitbit) and boom..fixed. IK this post has been up for a while but hopefully it will help others✌❤
