My Charge 3 shows up on the Bluetooth list, but it will not connect to Bluetooth.
I erased it from Fitbit and tried to install as new device. Again, it’s recognized as present, but it still won’t connect.
I got a brief message that the passkey or something (?) is incorrect, but don’t know how to fix.
I have restarted, rebooted, disconnected/erased and reconnected /reinstalled everything I can think of.
Help!!!

No, it didn’t respond to the hard reset. Everything proceeded as you described. But the Fitbit app and the Bluetooth app still both recognize the Charge 3 but it won’t connect.

I’m having the same issue. Just had this Fitbit 3 given to me. Won’t connect to iphone’s bluetooth, not listed on the devices. Tried rebooting both phone and fitbit several times, toggled bluetooth on and off several times as well. Also did network reset. Still, no luck. Iphone’s bluetooth can’t find it, can’t connect. I’ve removed all the other devices synced in bluetooth and paired them again, bluetooth found them and paired with them easily.

Yes, followed all the steps. I have also updated to iOS 15.4.1 hours ago and did another network setting reset. Fitbit Charge 3 just can’t be discoverable. I’ve again removed all devices connected to bluetooth, they’re easily discoverable as soon as i turn them on, and paired easily without any problem.

Got some help from the chat. We did the same things i already did. Nothing worked. I’ll keep trying. Last resort could be dfu restore, but i don’t wanna go that route. Thing is, my iphone’s bluetooth can find all the other devices in a second and connect right away. So i’m sure the phone’s bluetooth is working fine.
I’ll try syncing with a laptop.
Btw, is there any way i can edit the date and time without syncing? Coz mine’s way off.
Edit: Tried on an old android phone. It did find the Charge 3. But it’s oudated so i can’t sync there.

Just came back here to say Fitbit Charge 3 finally got synced!
Device kept showing me the 4-digit pin but it doesn’t work and kept saying error 01 or whatever on the Fitbit app. What finally worked for me is i “turned off iPhone’s Optimized Battery Charging.” Got this tip from someone on youtube. It was for android but tried it on iPhone anyway and it worked. You can turn it back on again after syncing.
Hopefully this may help someone with syncing issues too.
