Charge 3 won’t stay connected to Bluetooth

Please help!!! My charge 3 will not stay connected to my Bluetooth! I have restarted the Bluetooth on my phone, restarted my phone, restarted the Fitbit! Still the same. I have to go in multiple

times a day to connect and I can’t pair the Fitbit so I get text notifications! I got it as a Christmas gift but have had fitbits in the past... I must say I’m very disappointed in this one so far!

You have to come to terms with the fact the the Charge 3 is a bad product.  I just sent mine back.  It won’t stay connected with my iPhone 6s Plus.  It had to reboot the Charge 3 every time I want it to connect to my phone.  It’s a loser.

  • Wow here it is almost an ENTIRE YEAR later from the start of this thread and I'm having the exact same BS issues with my almost new charge 3 staying connected to BT. I have given fitbit a LOT of my $ over the years and this will be the very last time. I'm done. Best buy doesnt even do extended warranties for fitbit products anymore because they are such garbage. I'm so mad I could throw this thing against the wall, it's so ridiculous.

Call customer service. My problem was my actual fitbit which they replaced
and it has been working fine since.

I got my Charge 3 after Thanksgiving. It too will NOT stay connected to the Bluetooth and even when it is connected I don’t gets notifications of calls and texts (2 days it worked). I have done EVERYTHING they’ve suggested MULTIPLE times. Both iPhone and Fitbit have latest versions. Friday I talked to their help # and he got it so my Fitbit notified me of my calls. That last one day only. Back to square one again. VERY FRUSTRATING. Which now I’d gotten the Apple Watch!😒

Such a bummer to KEEP reading these stories. Where the heck are you FITBIT
on all these complaints? I will tell you that I will NEVER purchase a
fitbit again. Such a huge disappointment...not to mention a chunk of
change!

Call customer service and have them help you. For me it was a defect with
my actual device and needed to be replaced

I ended up returning my to Kolhs and getting a new one. The new one connected immediately and has caused me NO issues.

I’m sorry this has happened to you as well. I eventually gave up on the Charge 3 and moved to the Versa lite. I was having connection issues there after a while, but have not since I got a new phone.

After I "Hit the symbol and it will take you to the next step, once you're there select the option that says 'Forget this device' or 'Unpair'." what's the next step?

After almost a month of being frustrated with it I returned it to Kolhs and got another Charge 3. This one installed immediately and has been working great ever since. Glad to know it was the Fitbit that was the problem and not me!☺️ Glad you’re up and running with your new one as well!

Have you tired going onto the Fitbit app an sliding to the right the button that says “sync all day” if you don’t, it will only sync to Bluetooth intermittently...

Have had my Fitbit Charge 3 for some time now and I continue to have Bluetooth syncing problems.  If the Charge 3 runs out of power or I don't wear it it for a few days I lose the connection again.  Have tried all the fixes and the only one that seems to work for me is to completely remove and set it up again as new.  Very frustrating indeed.  I think an update or firmware fix might solve the problem with this Fitbit model.  As of now I have no intention of buying another Fitbit product and will look at the competition instead.
