My new Charge 3 will not let me swipe to view notifications or to view the apps that are installed on it. What should I do?

Hi, I'm having the same issue with my Charge 3 being stuck and unable to swipe. I tried the short restart which did not help. I'd like to try the long reset, but am having a hard time understanding how I would hit while it's being charged when the button when the charger actually covers the button. I must be missing something. I appreciate any assistance you can provide. This seems to be a common issue.

I just figured out that I didn't have it hooked into the charger correctly as I now see the hole over the button and was able to complete the long restart which helped to correct the frozen issue. thanks!

Hey @Upsfreight, it's great to see you around.
For tips about improving accuracy, I recommend taking a look at the help article How accurate are Fitbit devices?. Factors such as device placement, dominant or non-dominant hand, and stride length affect the number of steps recorded.
If it still seems like your device is undercounting or overcounting steps, try the following:
1. Put your device on your wrist.
2. Walk 100 steps, making sure to count a step each time one of your feet hits the ground.
3. Pause, then check your device to see your step count.
Also, keep in mind that we are moderating this thread for users who have swiping issues. If you are experiencing other issues or have a feature suggestion or improvement, I encourage you to find a similar thread, check out the feature suggestion board or start a new thread.
See you around.

I have just received a replacement Charge 3. My last one developed white lines. Charged it up and went through the start up stages. The watch face appears, when I press button screen wake and notifications appear but can’t swipe up down or left or right. Any ideas?

How is it possible to hold the button while on the charger? The charger covers the sides?

Hi all!
I’m not sure if I’m just not a good swiper...! Up and down is fine, I’m having trouble getting my new fitbit charge 3 to swipe left. I did the short and long restart, and it didn’t work.
ideas?
thanks!
