Charge 3 won't sync after firmware update

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi,

Is anyone having issues pairing or syncing their charge 3 after the most recent update? I've tried restarting, unpairing and pairing again and nothing seems to be working?

Any help would be appreciated!

Welcome on board @JamesR3! While reading your post, my first thought is that your Charge 3 might be no longer paired to your Fitbit account and that's why it's not syncing or connecting to your phone's Bluetooth. In order to solve this, please go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and remove the tracker. In the list of Bluetooth devices you'll see the Charge 3 and next to it, this symbol "!". Hit the symbol and it will take you to the next step, once you're there select the option that says "Forget this device" for iOS and "Unpair" for Android.

Once you've made sure about that, go back to the Fitbit app, go to the "Account" option in the upper right corner and select "Set up a Device". This should start the setup process for your device.

If after following these steps you're still having syncing difficulties, please see: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

I'll be around if you need further assistance!

Welcome on board @Squarepeg! Thanks for already troubleshooting the syncing difficulties you've experienced with your Charge 3.

If the steps didn't work, another reason of the syncing issues may be that your tracker is no longer paired to your account. So, I'd recommend checking your dashboard and see if your Fitbit is still showing as one of the devices paired.

If your device is no longer paired, I'd recommend setting it up once again by following the steps below:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon.
  2. Tap Set Up a Device.
  3. Choose your device and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.

Give this a go and let me know if you can sync your Charge 3 again.

I followed all of your instructions. Now I can't get it to set up. I get the message "An Issue occured while pairing your tracker" then 7 steps. I did all of the steps except factory resetting. What else can I do?

Won’t sync and followed your steps and I don’t have another device to try it on!! Why don’t you people quit doing such ridiculous updates and then peoples devices don’t work!! Not more efficient!!

Does not work, none of the suggested fixes.

Fitbit needs to repair this immediately!
