Charge 3 won’t sync and won’t pair after removing it

I know there are only like 3 people that have this device right now, but if anyone else that has it can check...is yours syncing ok? Mine last synced 4 hours ago and when trying to force a manual sync it wouldn’t get past “looking.” I tried the usual fixes - turning bluetooth off and on, removing the C3 from the app and my phone and attempting to re-add it, power cycling my phone...nothing works. The user manual says to press the side button for 8 seconds to reset, but all that does is bring up the screen wake/notifications toggle screen. Just issues due to it being new/unreleased, or is it possible it crapped out on me already?!

Darn! I’m still waiting for their ‘fix ‘ too!

Me too this is ridiculous. I have to log out and back in everytime I want this thing to sync, and that doesn't always work.

I don’t have a difficult time syncing my steps but text/email notifications have never worked since the first day. How could it work the first day and then not since? So weird.

Update: My Charge 3 after charge3 expert tried everything to get it working was declared defective and I received a replacement this week. My wife got hers at same time and has had no issues, but she has a Samsung phone.

This post was a little off putting. Of COURSE all of these options were
tried before a post was ever thought of. If the "fixes" you have suggested
by default worked than all of these posts would not have been posted!
Try the product, suffer the frustration!

Yes mine is still syncing. I hope your problem gets resolved soon. I’d keep on bugging them. Good luck!

Hmm. My husband got one too and has a blackberry and had had zero issues as well. So does your new one work and receive all notifications? And you have an iPhone 8?

I have a Samsung. It started as nearly impossible to pair, and worse to
sync. Then worked well for 2 weeks. I got notifications and emails etc..
Now after following all suggestions, it will not pair to any device, in
fact wont even see it over half the time. Will sync (maybe) every 5 days
and no notifications.

Mine will track but doesn't stay connected, it takes many attempts to sync and doesn't get any notification. I'm going to return this one and get a new one and give it one more try. You'd think with all the complaints that the Charge 3 is getting Fitbit would get it together and do a update for us.

I think I should get exercise points for playing with my C3. It pairs and syncs, then stops.  I have gone through ALL the steps,  and can get it to pair /sync fr a couple of days,  then it drops again.  My phone and tablet (which both pair at times) show that the C3 will not pair currently. I am suspicious that the bluetooth in the C3 is wonky. (And, NEVER had issues with my C2).

Try shutting off device completely and restarting. Always works for me. Never had to do this with C2. No biggee.

Restart when it's on the charger? I've done that without success.

I have an iPhone 8+ and when it won’t sync I get a message on the iPhone in red. I think it says network error? I DO NOT plug it into the charger but just do a complete shutdown of iPhone and restart. It’s like the iPhone and Fitbit don’t understand each other until you shutdown, turn back on which clears everything up. This happens maybe once a week

Hello everyone,

If you are having syncing issues, as recommended previously I suggest checking the help article Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and follow the instructions provide there.

See you around. Smiley Happy
