Charge 3 won’t sync and won’t pair after removing it

I know there are only like 3 people that have this device right now, but if anyone else that has it can check...is yours syncing ok? Mine last synced 4 hours ago and when trying to force a manual sync it wouldn’t get past “looking.” I tried the usual fixes - turning bluetooth off and on, removing the C3 from the app and my phone and attempting to re-add it, power cycling my phone...nothing works. The user manual says to press the side button for 8 seconds to reset, but all that does is bring up the screen wake/notifications toggle screen. Just issues due to it being new/unreleased, or is it possible it crapped out on me already?!

I'm having the same problem. I unpaired it because it would not sync and now I can't get it to pair again. Any solutions?

This is the same issue me and my wife have we just got the C3 for Xmas and it has terrible syncing. Seems to only work when I restart my phone...then work for a while then back to nothing but I have the NFC model

Thanks for posting this! I was trying to do it on the charger originally which was a pain. I don't think it'll fix my syncing problem but at least I know an easier way to reset now haha. Smiley Happy

I went into Google Play and Loaded the Fitbit Sync and Fix app. There are a lot of them, I chose the one that has the actual Fitbit symbol. In "what's new" section it says:  "Bug fixes and performance improvements". I installed it and it updated my app and I haven't had any issues since. I can't seem to restore the feature that allows me to get texts on my Fitbit but I can live without that.

Hello all, I hope you are doing fine.

If you are having issues syncing your trackers, I recommend taking a look at the help article Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and follow the instructions provide there. Something that helps, is to verify that your Bluetooth and location are on also check that you have a strong internet connection or that your data is also on.

See you around. Man Wink

I am having the same syncing issue. 😞

I bought 6 of these for my family for Christmas. Did not see these comments out there. Sorry I did this now.

These syncing issues are horrendous. Fitbit should be recalling them all. Mine syncs sometimes and not others. That's useless of you're trying to monitor your activities.

I have had zero issues with it continuously syncing throughout the day since this.  My C3 has been acting exactly like it's meant to and I'm hopeful this was a one time hiccup.

Update: On the side of the C3 there is a rectangular indentation (when you touch it it make the device vibrate and wakes the screen up) rather the just touch it,  hold your finger down on it until it vibrates again and a smiley face does on the screen

I've done everything suggested, multiple times and it's no better. Someone it'll synch, mostly it won't.

If your fit bit itself is working you can clear user data on the device directly and not the app. Swipe left on the fit bit screen to settings, touch that tile, scroll down to about, touch the word then scroll to clear user data20190116_081722.jpg

What type of phone are you pairing with? I can get it to synch when forced but not continuously. Also I can't get it to stay paired so that it will pull texts and phone call notifications like my Flex 2 did. I have version 12.1.2 on an iphone 8.

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S8+

My brother has the same phone and the same C3 and his is syncing.

The syncing on my phone is intermittent. I have to turn Bluetooth off
and back on - sometime it will synch but not always. I think that there
is a major bug with the Bluetooth connection to the App. I've
uninstalled and reinstalled the App numerous times.

Come on Fitbit techies - you need to sort this out as your product is
getting slated on various forums. I'm close to returning it for a refund !

Mine is working great now. My daughters and I all have the same one and they had a few hiccups recently but did their updates and things are working great for us all now.
I hope you're able to get them working correctly soon!

What phone are you pairing the C3's with? I use a iPhone 8 with version 12.1.2 and it is synching but not doing texts and phone call notifications.

Mine finally works perfect as well... I think the last update for the Fitbit app did the trick. I just updated today and it has worked the entire day so far. I'm using an LG V10 will update if anything changes
