Charge 3 won’t sync and won’t pair after removing it

I know there are only like 3 people that have this device right now, but if anyone else that has it can check...is yours syncing ok? Mine last synced 4 hours ago and when trying to force a manual sync it wouldn’t get past “looking.” I tried the usual fixes - turning bluetooth off and on, removing the C3 from the app and my phone and attempting to re-add it, power cycling my phone...nothing works. The user manual says to press the side button for 8 seconds to reset, but all that does is bring up the screen wake/notifications toggle screen. Just issues due to it being new/unreleased, or is it possible it crapped out on me already?!

Current::: Charge 3, Aria /// Retired::: Flex, Charge HR, Blaze, Versa, Charge 2

I got it to work for a day but now it won't pair again. I am putting too much time on this . I will be taking it back.

I got mine to work, but it took several tries and a lot of research. I have
an android and just bought a new Samsung 9s+. It seems to be working for
the moment. Keeping my fingers crossed.

It is going to happen again. It can't handle that many days of synced data
it seems, so it fails. Whether by a timeout set too early or because there
isn't enough storage. It's inevitable though.

Having the same issue.  Got it for christmas and syncing was wonky for the 1st few days.  Now it hasn't synced in almost 36 hours even though the watch is right next to my phone (Samsung Galaxy J7) and the sync dongle from my 4 year old One.  It can find the One from across the room though.

Stop torturing yourself. Make them give you a new one.

Tech Support said it was because my phone wasn't compatible with the
Watch?! But it worked 100% just fine until the December 17th update.
Now apparently it's MY FAULT I don't have the correct device.

Be sure not to try to see your data on an iPad as well as your phone , charge 3 cannot, apparently , sync data to 2 devices (which my old garmin vivo was happy to do) .  Only Bluetooth to one device.

None of that worked. I don't own an IPad

They told me it was now my issue. That it wasn't compatible, won't give me
a return or a new watch.

last night I paired my new c3 with my iPad, which took some doing. I’m not sure how I got it going but I did. So this morning I tried syncing with my iPhone 6 to check my sleep and it was a no go. “Looking” was I could get. After some head scratching and going through the standard procedures I went downstairs, turned the Bluetooth off on the iPad and bingo! The app on the phone started and finished syncing.

I would add that it was syncing fine with the iPhone before I started messing around with the iPad. Any thoughts on how the two devices can get along with the c3 simultaneously?

At least you can reset the Fitbit. I hold the button for longer than 8 seconds and it does nothing. One set of problems after another. My Windows PC says its paired with it, but the application cannot see it.

Same problem. Unpaired. Standstill after entering 4 digit code. Tried on iPhone, IPad and Windows 10.

Read all of my comments on this thread and think again. Your post history demonstrates you did not understand why people are having issues and then all of a sudden you have them after an update.

Resetting data is a temporary solution for most, but a solution nonetheless. It's terrible software but if you really aren't listed in compatible devices I don't know why you're even posting here. Others are trying to re-pair their devices without wiping user data, including thinking they need to hold buttons down to do so. I posted to correct that .

I am posting here because I had compatible data before the update, so they
LIMITED the devices as compatible unless you have a true solution, you
should stop posting here 🤷

That's not how software works. You're going to be sitting on your thumbs until you figure out how to return your device. This thread is about creating awareness for major sync issues. If your phone has been patched out of compatibility you'll have to use someone else's phone to push any firmware update that makes you "compatible" if it ever comes. Enjoy.
