I'm now on my 2nd Fitbit Charge 3 and having issues syncing it with my iPhone 8.
I've tried turning the bluetooth off and on again, removing and reinstalling the app, turning phone off and on and have tried restarting the Fitbit but still had no joy.
I get to the screen on my app where you pair the devices, input the code displayed on the Fitbit but it just hangs and doesn't pair.
Any advice?

Welcome on board @jthurston84, it's nice to see you around here! Thanks for already troubleshooting this syncing issue between your phone and your Fitbit Charge 3, nice way to go!
While reading your post, my first thought is that your Charge 3 might be no longer paired to your Fitbit account and that's why it's not syncing or connecting to your phone's Bluetooth. In order to solve this, please go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and remove the tracker. In the list of Bluetooth devices you'll see the Charge 3 and next to it, this symbol "!". Hit the symbol and it will take you to the next step, once you're there select the option that says "Forget this device". Also, I'd recommend restarting your tracker by following these steps.
Once you've made sure about that, go back to the Fitbit app, go to the "Account" option in the upper right corner and select "Set up a Device". This should start the setup process for your device.

Going crazy! Have spent hours now trying to get iPhone 8 and latest iPad Bluetooth to find this Fitbit charge 3. I’ve turned Bluetooth on and off; inventory restarted the phone, the iPad, and the Charge 3. Still cannot get it to sync. And, along with that annoying problem, unless I move the charge 3 to ridiculously uncomfortable place on my arm (or rotate it so it is on the palm side of my wrist), it doesn’t track my heart rate. One and a half days in and i’m seriously considering returning the Charge 3.

Getting this errorJust got charge 3, after having a charge 2 for 3 years, when I put the code in from my fitbit on my phone, a couple of seconds later, I get a ! appear on my fitbit. Have tried about a dozen times and get the same thing every time. Any ideas?
