Charge 3 won't sync to Galaxy S9

 Hi,

i've had my Charge 3 for about 6 weeks now and every week I have issues with syncing. I've actually uninstalled the app and reinstalled every week. It won't sync properly with my Samsung Galaxy 9+ phone or with my laptop. I'm about ready to ditch this for another model. Wish I hadn't given my Charge 2 away!

I'm so sorry. Amazon has been great through all of this.

Charge 3's & Samsung S9:s must be a bad fit.

Mine connects very intermittently & is annoying.  My Charge 2 worked great but died.

Painful exercise.

I've spent so much time on this **ahem** and am totally frustrated.  It sporadically connects, only way to synch is to use an old phone with app level of 2.80.  I believe the 2.92 level is broke.  It seemed to work fine at 2.90 on a Galaxy s8 & OK a few days on my S9 until the 2.92 upgrade {downgrade?)   I get a msg up load new firmware on the Charge 3 but won't connect.  Plus I get a msg that the Fitbit Bluetooth is busy.....  This really stinks

Can't update if I can't connect...

Tried an older Note 4 phone (2.92) & if I get past the Fitbit Bluetooth busy pop-up, it yrys to connect but dies.  Ugh

I'm afraid I sent my Fitbit charge 3 back to Amazon and got a refund. However I have seen the Charge 3 work brilliantly for my nephew, he has an iPhone 10

Finally someone doing some real trouble shooting, going beyond simply re-connecting the darn thing. Thanks for the lead will try this tomorrow!

Took forever, but I was able to connect to my S9. I had to delete my old Charge 2 from my fitbit account and phone, plus I had to move the old Charge 2 far away so the phone Bluetooth didn't see it. Then I deleted the Fitbit app and reinstalled. Rebooted the Charge 3 then connected through the app. Finally worked.

I have removed app reinstalled app removed charger 3 added it again I don't think it's the phone I think it's an issue with the Fitbit any advice would be welcome I have contacted Fitbit through Facebook this is the 2nd watch I have had I can't keep removing and reinstalling. Would I be better trying to sync with a different product?? HELP PLEASE

Mine synced with my phone and my tablet but now it just shows me calories burned - which is of no interest to me.  Going to the "Discover" page and then Health and Fitness only exercise is shown as added, and when I try to add Sleep, Heart Rate, Hourly Steps (which were on before) it just says it requires a device with a heart rate monitor.    yet the heart rate shows on the device itself.

Hi, I just think there are too many gliches/gremlins in the Charge 3 for me so I returned mine and received a refund. I have continued with my Charge 2 and I'm happy enough.

Hi, I had too many problems with trying to sync the charge 3 to my galaxy S9 so I returned it. I received a refund. I have decided to continue with my charge 2. In hindsight I should have read more reviews before purchasing, as a lot of people had experienced problems syncing.

my Charge3 works fine on my iPad, and on my old Samsung S5, but does not work on my Samsung S9.

Initially the Charge3 does not get listen when running a bluetooth scan, when I disable/enable bluetooth on my S9, then the Charge3 appears, but I cannot connect, I also made sure I disabled bluetooth on any other device in the area to avoid conflicts…  but no luck. I guess I'll have to use my iPad to sync my data, but that means I cannot use the features of my Phone (tekst messages, missed calls, reminders, locations where I walked ..). I manage to connect my S9 with other devices (speaker, car, weight balance ..) so the root cause of the issue does not seem to be on the Phone itself, but rather a compatibility issue between both.

I hope someone takes the responsibility to investigate and look for a fix … there is a lot of competition on the market and unsolved problems will result in people choosing alternative products.

I was having a problem getting audio from Google maps in my car. Went into
youtube. Searched problem. It told me to go into google map settings and
go into navigation. Then told me what to do from there. It's a setting
issue I'm sure for you. Check your sound in your settings to make sure its
turned up. Hope this helps

My new Charge 3 Special edition will not stay tracking my HR or my sleep, with my Galaxy S9+. The two main reasons I wear it. Looks like I'm not the only one having problems. I just returned my regular Charge 3 for the more expensive SE thinking I had a bad tracker. My Charge 2 NEVER had a problem.  Why am I "upgrading" for less functions?? If this doesn't get fixed, I will never own another Fitbit. I'll go with the Garmin.

I agree! This is too much aggravation and too much money spent for a device that won't even sync when needed!
