Charge 3 won't sync to app and time is incorrect

Hello,

My Charge 3 started to malfunction a couple of nights ago.  It showed that I had 455 min of activity yet I know I didn't as I was working at my desk.  It started bouncing around screens and then went black.  I charged it overnight.  It did eventually come on but it picked up the time and activity and steps of the night before.  The screen also looks like there's a very think dark "line" across.  It' again started to bounce around screens and buzz so I turned off notifications and disconnected from bluetooth from my iphone.  I rebooted it and that didn't help.  I tried to change clock screens but since it won't sync it didn't change the screen.  I rebooted for 15 seconds while on the charger and holding it until I could see the reboot line and then I disconnected from charger, reconnected and the smile screen came on but the time is still off and it still won't sync.  When I log onto my FitBit account it shows an X on the battery but the watch shows that is charged 93% as of now.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  I'm starting to believe it crashed and can't reset but I'd like to try anything to get it to work.  Thank you.

I’m having this exact same issue. The time seems to please itself, sometimes it’s correct, other times it’s a few minutes out. In order to get my Fitbit to sync I have to delete the watch and re add it which is a nightmare but eventually it’ll load the data to my app. Maybe this is an issue with Fitbit just now?

I have been having sync problems for over a week now. none of the solutions work   I kept hoping it would correct itself but it hasn't this is my second fitbit but now I'm looking at samsung watch for a replacement forums or customer service has not helped at all. I used to be  fitbit loyal but not anymore

I'm pretty disappointed as well.  This morning I woke up to find it buzzing and bouncing around.  I stick it on the charger to try to reset.  The happy face screen started to roll and then it went black.  It also started to overheat.  I took it off the charger and I think it's dead.  The sad thing even though I've had problems with it since I got it, I did my best to get the best use out of it.  It was a gift from my bosses and can't afford a new watch so I guess that is the way it goes.  Good luck with your search for a better watch.

Try shutting your phone off and restarting and restart your fitbit too. It helped me. Good luck!

Instead of deleting it try just turning your Bluetooth off and back on again.sometimes it fixes it for me when it won't sync.

You would think after almost 2 weeks Fitbit would come up with a solution(another update for correction) My Fitbit syncs occasionally, doing some research on other brands of fitness watches, going to wait a little while longer hoping Fitbit will get a fix in place!

My charge 3 is no syncing no matter what I do. I have already removed and reinstalled the app on my phone, cleared data and rebooted the watch and I’ve also turned of my cell phone. None of these actions has worked, I’ve even tried to create a new account…

I have contacted Fitbit, even sent them screenshots to prove it. I’ve no idea what’s going on. Hopefully they can resolve it. It’s clearly some kind of software issue somewhere. Fitbit aren’t being the most helpful this time round. I’m on replacement number 4 in 2 years!!!

I agree not helpful at all!  It's like they don't want to help and don't care that they will be losing customers that will buy other brands of trackers and will not provide word of mouth advertising at least for good but will tell others that their products used to be good but now not !

Was just on the App review page and right now there is nothing but bad reviews all mostly about the same problem we all are having variations of syncing problems so really seems that they don’t or won’t even care, nothing anywhere that I can find that they are working on trying to get it fixed just thought I would add this info here!

Is your Bluetooth on and your location? They both have to be on. Also can you see if your Bluetooth is showing your fitbit. My fitbit sometimes doesn't connect to my phone.
